It’s the day before Thanksgiving, and I can hardly believe that the holiday season is upon us! My family is gathering from across the country to celebrate, and I’m looking forward to time together and, of course, a lot of pie. Recently I’ve put together some outfits that I think will be perfect for Thanksgiving, so today I’m sharing three looks that would work well for a variety of celebrations. These outfits could also be easily adapted to be more casual or dressy. Whether you’re watching the parade, in the kitchen, or at a family dinner, I hope this post gives you some style inspiration!
This is one of my current favorite outfits, and would be perfect for my low-key Thanksgiving. I paired my Amour Vert silk blouse (currently on sale!) with my Everlane black skinny jeans. A statement top with jeans is an easy way to make a basic look more interesting. For accessories, I added my favorite comfy ankle boots, a classic watch, a vintage bag, and some vintage hoop earrings. The resulting outfit is comfortable, but still looks polished.
For this look, my outfit formula was sweater + trousers + heels. I tucked this floral sweater from Anthropologie into my high-waisted black trousers, although I might recommend something with an elastic waist for Thanksgiving. 😉 On my feet I wore these fun ankle strap heels from Madewell, and I love the vintage flair they add to the look. My blush bag is from Everlane, my hoop earrings are vintage, and my watch is by Berg + Betts.
If you want to wear a dress, but stay comfortable, this might be the look for you. I added a pullover sweater with a nice drape over the top of my favorite thrifted black dress. To keep the bottom half of the look streamlined, I wore black tights and heels. My easy accessories include a gauzy cream scarf, hoop earrings, and a dainty necklace from Madewell.
