A Calm in the Storm

Hi everyone! Sorry for my silence over the last week but there was a reason for it: I was on spring break! The break came at a great time for me. I’m not going to lie, it has been a rough semester and having a week to just relax with my family was beyond wonderful. But life keeps on moving and I’m about to jump into the last leg of this journey called freshman year. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I’ve got a lot to do before then. I’m praying for peace, calmness, and organization as I finish out the school year.
I’ve been struggling to surrender my stress this semester. It is easy to feel stressed when we think that we are able to accomplish anything on our own. God has used this semester to show me that I can’t do things on my own, and that all my ability is from him. Now to remember that and rest in it on a daily basis.

I spent my break quietly by sewing, playing the piano, and watching movies with my siblings. All these things make me excited for the summer when I can have more time for them, but it’s not long now. I was able to complete a 1940’s dress over the last week for Sew for Victory, and can’t wait to share the pictures with you all! Here is a sneak peak!

Have a blessed Sunday. I’ll be back soon with more posts!
