Hello! I’m Lauren Johnson, creator of Chic Éthique. I have a love for good style, good coffee, and the color blush. My family and my faith make life beautiful. I currently live in Little Rock, Arkansas where I work as a music teacher. Here on the blog you can expect to find editorial style outfit posts, eco-friendly beauty favorites, and a wealth of information on capsule wardrobes and ethical fashion.
Chic Éthique was born five years ago when I first set up a blog to share my outfits and favorite fashion finds. In 2016 I discovered a documentary called The True Cost which changed the way I approached fashion, and that change in approach spilled over into my blog. I began wearing a capsule wardrobe in late 2015, and have had so much fun mixing up my closet here on the blog since that time. My goal with this site is to show that kind and sustainable dressing can still be beautifully chic, and that we should never have to sacrifice morals for style. I feature brands that care about people and the planet, and I love searching for beautiful products you can feel good about purchasing.
This is a different kind of fashion blog. Here it’s about beauty, awareness, kindness, and intentionality.
So welcome! I hope you’ll join the conversation.
