You all know how much I love Rifle Paper Co., so when my dear friend Brynna gave me Anna Bond’s version of Alice in Wonderland as a graduation gift, I knew I would need to devote a blog post to it. The book is absolutely beautiful, and makes a great edition to my storybook collection (would that be something you would be interested in seeing as a blog post?!) This edition was released in honor of the 150th anniversary of the book, and I’m so happy to have it. Unlike the Puffin in Bloom collection, this book is illustrated all throughout the interior which is so fun to look through. Lately I’ve been flipping through the illustrations while sipping tea and knitting on my most recent project. I started a cable knit scarf in an effort to get ahead on autumn knitting!
I love that this edition has both a beautiful dust jacket and a beautiful cover. It’s hard to pick a favorite. My favorite illustrations inside the book come from the Mad Tea Party chapter. What’s not to love about adorable tea related illustrations? Alice in Wonderland was one of my childhood favorites, helped by my love of the teacup ride at Disneyland. I love seeing a Rifle Paper Co. take on such a classic, and I’m excited to have it in my library!
Do you have a favorite edition of a treasured book? What were some of your favorite books growing up? I’d love to hear!
