Almost There!

rifle paper company cardHi friends! I wanted to write a little bit of an update about what’s going on in my life right now. As of today, it is officially less than one month until I graduate from university, and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve spent some time over the past few weeks reading through old blog posts and journal entries from my freshman year, and I just can’t quite believe that this journey has almost come to an end. It’s been a long and hard four years, but I’m so grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given to pursue higher education, and I can’t wait to put what I’ve learned to use in the future.

For now, I’m focusing on my music as I prepare for performances and a competition at the end of the month- I can’t believe it’s my last time to participate! I’m also trying to stay motivated because, let me tell you, senioritis is real guys. I don’t know why the last few weeks make studying, homework, and going to class such a difficult thing, but they do my friends. Apart from academics, I’m making an effort to savor times with the dear friends I’ve made here as we all prepare to go our separate ways in just a few short weeks. I got to shoot some senior pictures for my roommate of the past two years a couple of weeks ago which was so fun, and such a great memory. Until graduation I’m sure there will be lots of Netflix, coffee dates, and general freaking out that we are about to be real adults. 😉

I’m so excited for this next chapter, and am so grateful to all of you have read along throughout my college experience. You’ve been there through all of the sparse posting, the identity crises, and so much more. College has grown me as person in ways I never expected, and I’m so thankful for this time.

Are any of you graduating this spring? How are you feeling about it? I’d love to hear!

  1. Congratulations on your upcoming graduation!! That’s so exciting! I’m graduating high school this year so I can relate to what you are feeling on a smaller scale;)

  2. Yay! Exciting, congratulations! It’s been quite a while since I graduated… but I remember being glad it was finally officially over. I had an internship my last semester so I had *felt* done for a while! I also read Anna Karenina the month I graduated. I was more proud of that… Is that weird.. 😛 XO -Alexandra

  3. Congrats! You and your blog have been a ray of sunshine in my life since we’ve met, and I am so excited about the new places you will bring this sunshine in the world!

As a freshman, graduation sounds so far away, but these years will fly by and soon I will miss these days of finals, classes, and random runs to get food.
