Autumn Trends, Summer Heat

Styling a denim jacketI think I’m a little too excited for fall, because it was definitely way too hot to be wearing this outfit yesterday, but my mind was so much in autumn-mode that I went for it anyway. 😉 I met up with the lovely Lee from Lee Thrifts, and she introduced me to the cutest handmade popsicle/ice cream bar shop down in The Heights. If you’re in the Little Rock area, Le Pops is adorable and super good!

Lee was also nice enough to take some outfit photos for me, and it’s so great to have a fellow blogger take your photos! For this outfit I wanted to play with some of my favorite autumn trends while still keeping it a little bit summery. I paired my Victorian style white cotton blouse with my favorite rayon trousers as a nod to the Victorian trend that is very much here to stay this autumn. I added my denim jacket for a touch of tomboy, and my favorite pointy-toe studded shoes for a bit of an edge. As per usual lately, I had my vintage Coach Regina with me and my Anthro sunglasses.

While it definitely still feels like summer outside right now, I’ll just be here sipping on pumpkin spiced lattes and dreaming of snugly knitwear. I’m so ready.

  1. How fun that you got to meet up with Lee! I absolutely love this outfit combo and have to say that I wore a VERY fall like outfit the other day too even though it was super hot! Totally drinking the pumpkin spice latte’s like you….amidst the heat.

    1. It was so fun to find out we were in the same city! I’m excited to know another blogger now! 🙂 Thanks for your sweet words Madison. I know Texas and Arkansas are pretty similar when it comes to actually cooling off…we’ll get there eventually!
      Loved your wishlist post!
