One of the few stores in my area that I can walk into and find ethical fashion options at is Madewell. I love that Madewell does exclusive collaborations with various slow fashion brands, giving the brands exposure, and allowing me the chance to see and shop these beautiful items in person. In the last few months, they have really stepped up their game both with their Rivet & Thread made in the USA options, and their beautiful collaborations, even expanding into natural and cruelty free beauty products. No, this post isn’t sponsored, I simply hope it gives you some options for better choices, especially those of you who’s cities have limited brick and mortar stores like me!
Fall has long been my favorite season for nail polish, and over the past few years I’ve accumulated some tried and true shades. Since I’ve been working on using more non-toxic formulas, and also on decluttering my life, my collection has definitely diminished, but I have noticed three stand-out colors I continue to reach for. During this time of year I’m drawn to both deep reds and burgundies, and mauve shades with a hint of grey. I find that these two color families give me enough versatility for the season, and still feel autumn-appropriate. On to the polishes!
You guys know how much I love a good natural makeup product, so when I saw that Burt’s Bees had released a new cosmetics line, I ran over to my local drugstore and purchased a few products. You know, ahem, for the blog. It’s wonderful to have a natural line that is more easily accessible and at a budget friendly price, and I definitely found some winners in the collection. Below you’ll find my thoughts on each product I purchased as well as a video discussing my first impressions each product. Let’s talk makeup!
Cleanse, Treat, Hydrate.
I’ve been dealing with some stressed skin over the passed couple of months. I have sensitive acne prone skin, which is an interesting skin type to create a routine for. Most products formulated for break-outs aren’t formulated for sensitive skin, and vice versa. Thankfully, after a lot of trial and error, I’ve found different natural ways to manage my skin type and keep it in check. Today I have two products and two ingredients to share with you that I love to use when I’m dealing with breakouts and redness.
Happy Monday friends! I’m back with another beauty post, and today I’m sharing my current everyday makeup favorites. These are products that I am loving for a quick and easy daily makeup that looks natural but still pulled together. I’ve been all about simplicity when it comes to my makeup these days, and many of the products are staples in my collection for a fast makeup look. Most of these products are in the natural category, and all of them are cruelty free!
