It’s the weekend, and I’m excited about it! This week marked my first full week back at teaching, and I’m enjoying getting settled into a routine. It’s so fun to have so many of the same students back this year, and I can’t wait to watch how they grow as pianists. Apart from teaching, I’ve been working on one of my new year’s resolutions this week. I set myself the goal of completing 10 days of The Miracle Morning, which involves a 5 a.m. wake-up time. Right now I’ve finished two days, and although it’s been a challenge to get myself up early, I’m really enjoying the extra quiet morning hours. It’s also helping me get through my reading list, and I’m loving that. This weekend I’m planning to work on a sewing project, (hopefully for a new video tutorial on Sunday!) do more reading, and maybe pay a visit to my favorite local park for a walk with coffee.

Cheers to the Weekend!

Happy weekend friends! As I looked back through my blog post archives recently, I noticed that the last time I published The Weekender was back in April! This summer I’ve struggled to keep up with normal routines, but as we approach fall, I’m ready for routine again, starting with blogging routines. If you’re new around here, The Weekender is a weekly collection of my favorite links from around the web as well as a little catch-up on what I’ve been up to over the past week.

national-stripes-day-outfitHappy weekend, and happy April friends! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week! I’ve been getting back into the teaching routine after spring break, and things are getting busy as the school year draws to a close. My students are prepping for a recital, and it’s so fun to be on the teaching side of a performance. Apart from work, my week was full of spending time with friends, working on YouTube content, #nationalstripesday, and recovering from last week’s cold. Spring has arrived in Little Rock, and I’m so starting to look forward to switching my wardrobe over for the warmer weather. I’ve collected a few new pieces for my spring capsule, and I’m so excited to share them with you all! For now, it’s time for another round of weekend links.

This week’s links range from costume design to blush pink nail polish– read on!

chicago-evanston-coffee-shopWell friends, another weekend is here, and I’m spending it trying to get over a cold which means lots of ginger tea and quiet work. Despite being ill, I can’t say I’m mad about it! I got back from Chicago late Wednesday night, and can’t wait to share all of the content I shot while I was traveling– I even tried my hand at creating a travel and outfit vlog that I’ll be posting to my YouTube channel soon! Life has been pretty quiet this week since I’m a teacher, and it’s spring break. I’m grateful for the opportunity to rest and recover, and I’m looking forward to being back to working with my students on Monday.

But for now, it’s time for another round of weekend links!

It’s the weekend friends, and I’m soaking in all I can of this lazy, sunny Saturday. My week was busy, full teaching, working, and spending time with friends and family, and of course, drinking a lot of coffee. I’m spending my weekend preparing for Monday night’s event, working on some fun projects I’ll be sharing soon, and playing the music from La La Land. It makes for a pretty great weekend afternoon, and I’m grateful for this time to recharge and work on my personal projects! As usual, I have some links for you this weekend listed bellow. Also, if you’re planning on coming to the Galentine’s Day event, I’d love to hear!

From how to wash silk to where to buy a Valentine’s card, this week’s links have got you covered.
