Coffee Shops & Crossbody Bags

Essential Experiences

One of my favorite things about Little Rock is the selection of coffee shops, and I love to spend free afternoons sipping a warm beverage with friends or family members. I love how a coffee date puts us face-to-face in the midst of our technology driven world. Since my younger sister went to college, we love to go catch up over coffee or tea when she comes home over the weekends, and last weekend we headed to one of our favorite spots, Mylo Coffee Co. Mylo is located in the Hillcrest Historic District, and while it’s not the most convenient location relative to where I live, I love to go there when I get the chance to enjoy a London Fog and the adorable atmosphere.

Casual Cool

The outfit I wore on this day is one of my current favorites, and it features this fun plaid blouse tucked into high-rise jeans. I kept my accessories to a minimum, but the star of the look is definitely my Tate crossbody from Daame. I’m working with Daame as a brand ambassador, and I was so thrilled when they asked me to try out their latest handbag release. This classic structured crossbody bag is right up my ally featuring gold hardware, a magnetic closure, and a fun bright lining. Mine is in this beautiful deep blue color of recycled leather, but there are also black and grey options available. You guys know I love minimal crossbody bags for their versatility and ease of styling, so adding this one to my collection was such a treat. Whether I’m wearing it as a shoulder bag, crossbody, or a clutch, it truly is a wardrobe essential.

If you’d like to get this limited edition piece yourself, Daame have kindly given a coupon code specifically for Chic Éthique readers! Us the code laurenxdaame$25 for $25.00 off of your purchase. To finish off my outfit I added some geometric statement earrings, sunglasses, and simple ballet flats.

A Brand to Feel Good About

I’m so excited to introduce you guys to Daame both for their beautiful handbags and the heart behind the company. The brand’s mission statement is “Make good. Do good.” and they mean it too. With the goal of equiping people to do great things, they design functional quality pieces for work and beyond. The Tate Crossbody featured in this post is made of 100% recycled leather that would otherwise go to waste, and 10% of the profits from bag sales go towards girl’s education. The team at Daame designed this bag with the goal of crafting a beautiful durable product that would have a positive impact on the world. I think they’ve done just that.

If you’d like to learn more about Daame, be sure to check them out on Instagram, Facebook, and their website.

  1. Congrats on being an ambassador for them, Lauren!! That is SO exciting and their bags are beautiful!! We definitely need to go to Mylo (or my new favorite – Meteor) sometime soon 🙂

  2. What a beautiful bag, and a beautiful ethos! I’m still not sure where I lie on the idea of recycled leather, or offcuts. I try to avoid anything to do with the meat industry, but perhaps for now this is the best option (and it’s definitely better than PVC or oil-based alternatives).

  3. Hi Lauren! I’m a new reader here on your blog. I firstly want to compliment you on this posts. I love the pictures and everything! Congrats on being an ambassador for such an ethical company! I was also wondering where your earrings are from?
