Doctor Who Blog Party Tag!

Hi everyone! I know you must all think I’ve fallen off the face of the earth, but really I’ve just been in a combination of Fall Break mode and Mid-term mode, neither of which gave me much blogging time. Excuses aside, I’m back to join in this delightful tag!

Doctor Who Blog Party - October 22nd

If you decided to name your first born child after any Doctor Who character, male or female, who would it be? Probably Rory. Both because it’s a really cool name, and because Rory is one of my favorite characters in the series. He is so selfless and sweet.

What is your favourite colour of the Doctor’s shoes? Red:)

Look around yourself and name the one thing that is TARDIS blue in your house! My Twining’s tea box on my desk.

If you could pick who plays the Twelfth Doctor which actor would you choose and why? I’m joining the rest of the world and saying Tom Hiddleston. I just love him and think he would do a fantastic job in the role!
The Doctor is going back in time again, which historical era should he visit? 1920’s America, and F. Scott Fitzgerald!

Would you REALLY go with the Doctor in the TARDIS? Um, yes. In a heartbeat:)
Who’s your favorite Doctor and why? Hard question! If I really think about it, it’s probably a tie between Matt Smith and Christopher Eccleston. Sorry David Tennant fan girls! I love him too, but not quite as much as the other two. CE really brought out the hurt the Doctor was feeling from his past, and just did a beautiful job all around. Matt Smith is quirky, adorable, and hilarious. Also he travels with Amy and Rory, and I like all of those episodes the best!

Would you be afraid to spend Christmas in London? Nope. Because I would know the Doctor would show up;)

Do you look at an ordinary screwdriver and think ‘this could be a bit more sonic?’No…but I’m not prone to looking at screwdrivers.

Angel statues, plastic mannequins, Christmas trees – what ordinary everyday object would you love to make an object of terror to Whovians were you Steven Moffat? Clothes dryers. That could be interesting.

The TARDIS lands in your garden and the Doctor steps out. What is the first thing you say to him? “So you finally made it. I’ve been waiting around for a month. “

Who is your favorite actor who has played the Doctor so far and why? Probably Matt Smith. Just because he is “a mad man with a box” in the truest sense of the phrase;)

Have you seen any Classic Doctor Who? If so, which Doctor/episode(s) is your favorite? Don’t judge, but no. I started with CE’s episodes. As soon as I catch up to the current episodes, I’m going back to the classics.

Which are the creepiest, scariest and all-out meanest baddies in all the Who-niverse? Let’s see. The Weeping Angles are scary, but I wouldn’t say they are mean. They creepy lady who goes to a funeral in a red dress was mean. The Ood would probably win the creepy award.

Who is/are your favorite Companion(s) and why? Amy and Rory, hands down. I absolutely adore their relationship with each other and the Doctor. Amy has a bit of an attitude, and Rory is an absolutely selfless sweetheart. I also liked Martha a lot. Donna was funny, but got a bit on my nerves after a while. Rose was great as well, but I get tired of everyone acting like she and the Doctor were hopelessly in love. I know she was in love with him, but I think he loved her more like a brother. Anyways, yes. Amy and Rory.

Did you cry more watching Doomsday or The Angels Take Manhattan? Well  I didn’t technically cry in Doomsday. I teared up a bit, but didn’t cry. I haven’t seen The Angels Take Manhattan yes, but I am absolutely dreading it. I talked to one girl who said she cried for a literal half hour after it was over.

What is your favorite quote from the show? I can’t quote it exactly, but Amy gives a monologue at the beginning of either A Good Man goes to War, or Let’s Kill Hitler. It’s when she is talking to Melanie about Rory. Absolutely one of the sweetest moments so far!

Which Doctor (including all previous regenerations) would you most like to be the companion of, and why? 11. Because it would be loads of crazy fun!

Which of the following are you more scared of, the Daleks, Cybermen, or the Weeping Angles? Weeping Angels. They are the only evil creatures on this list I actually find scary. The others are just annoying.

Who are some of your favorite guest stars in the series? Carry Mulligan as Sally Sparrow. Also Riversong is one of my favorite characters, but she isn’t really a guest star. I’m just sneaking her in here:)

What was your first experience with Doctor Who and how did you hear about the series? Let’s see. It was a year and a half ago. I was visiting my sister at her college, which is now also my college. We were sitting at lunch and she mentioned that she and a friend had Doctor Who Night once a week, so I would have to go with her. We watched three episodes that evening from 9’s season.

The Ninth Doctor said, ‘Fantastic!’, Ten said, ‘Allons-y’, and Eleven says, ‘Geronimo’; what would you like to be the signature exclamation of the Twelfth Doctor? I will leave that up to Mr. Hiddleston;)

If you were trapped in an episode, which one would it be? How about A Good Man Goes to War. That one has all of my favorite people, so I could talk to them all:)

Which is your favorite episode with each Doctor (Nine, Ten and Eleven)? 9: Father’s Day. So sweet! 10: Silence in the Library and Forrest of the Dead. 11. Vincent and the Doctor.

After watching a certain Doctor Who episode, did you summon up the courage to try fish sticks and custard? No…I did think about how it would taste, but no. I will leave that to those going through regeneration!

Thanks to Natasha and Ashley for hosting this fun blog party!

    1. Hmm, well I was thinking the electric kind. Like a laundry mat could turn out to be a home for this one kind of alien, but the line kind could be terrifying too! Thanks for commenting:)
