Exploring Downtown Chicago (& a vlog!)

downtown-chicago-26I had an absolutely fantastic time in Chicago over the last ten days, and of course had plenty of opportunities to take some fun photos to share with you guys! My friend Brynna and I spent quite a bit of time downtown during this trip, and found some lovely parks and gardens. We walked a lot, drank a lot of coffee and tea, and even did some knitting and reading in Millennium Park!

I gave Brynna some knitting lessons, and she made her self a super cozy pair of socks while we were in Chicago! Quite impressive for a first project if you ask me!downtown-chicago-12 downtown-chicago-13 downtown-chicago-14Leave it to me to find a rose garden in the middle of a bustling city. This beautiful place was near Buckingham Fountain, and every rose bush was covered in stunning blossoms.

I did a little bit of filming on my iPhone while we were there, and put together a fun little vlog video for you all set to a Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald soundtrack! Let me know if you enjoy this type of video. 🙂

I have two more posts related to my trip planned, so be sure to check back over the next few days for more!

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! Have you gone anywhere fun yet this summer? I’d love to hear!

  1. Such lovely and engaging pictures! I especially liked the one of the crosswalk with the sign that said “forward” right next to it. It looks like y’all had a wonderful time! The rose garden stole my heart just a bit, and that lighthouse… It looks like a place I would never want to leave!

(p.s. What photo editing software do you use, if any?)

(p.p.s. I sent you an email recently about a special project I’m working on if you could read it.)

    1. Thank you so much Hannah! We really did have a wonderful time!
In answer to your question about photo editing software, I am a big fan of GIMP. It’s a free download, and pretty user friendly. I mostly use it to resize images for upload, but also use the text and color editing features. I hope that helps!
I saw your email, and sent you a reply!
Thanks so much for reading. 🙂
