Exploring the Grosse Point Lighthouse

My time in Chicago has nearly come to an end, and I have had an absolutely wonderful time! This visit has been delightfully full of activity, but all new things that I didn’t have the time for last time I visited.

Brynna and I were able to spend an afternoon exploring the beautiful historic Groose Point lighthouse in Evanston. It is surrounded by stunning gardens full of peonies (one of my favorite flowers,) grassy beaches, and stands next to a lovely old Victorian home covered in ivy. The atmosphere of the whole place was stunning, and we couldn’t help but hum the Anne of Green Gables theme on the beach.

It was a perfect day  to visit, and the shaded light was gorgeous for photography, so of course I had to take bunches of pictures. 😉 I’m not too sure I’m ready to leave, but I have several more Chicago posts in the works that I hope you will enjoy as much as I will enjoy putting them together!

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have you been to any fun places this summer? I’d love to hear!

  1. These pictures are gorgeous! And yes, it does make me think of Anne of Green Gables! Chicago sounds like an adventure I’d like to experience one day! I can’t wait to hear more!
