Finished Project: Peaches and Cream Violet

Meet my new blouse! I used the Violet pattern from Colette Patterns and a dreamy coral silk Georgette. I made the view with gathered sleeves and added a vintage lace collar instead of making my own. I used little cream buttons from my stash and stitched the whole blouse with French seams.

I will have a vlog up about the project this evening on my YouTube channel if you care to check it out!

  1. Hi! I am a new follower of your blog via bloglovin. I have to say I love your blog!
I love your blouse! It is adorable. And the lace collar adds the perfect touch. I have yet to try my hand at sewing with chiffon. Will you tell us all how easy or hard it was in the video?

    1. Hi Brigid! Thanks so much for following and commenting! I’m a recent follower of your blog as well and have really been enjoying it.

I didn’t talk about the fabric in the video, but here is what I came away with after sewing this. Cutting out was difficult because the layers slid around a lot and made it difficult to control. Other than that I didn’t find it hard to work with as long as I took my time to make sure nothing had slid out of place. I hope that helps!

Thanks so much for stopping by and your sweet words!
