Girly-Girl

Lace Asos dress

I remember having a conversation with my college roommate last year in which I was talking about my childhood interests. I mentioned how I loved ballet class and piano lessons and said “man, I was such a girly-girl!” to which Audrey responded, “was??” I laughed, and have to admit, I’m definitely a girly-girl. As much as I love minimal looks and black, there will always be a place in my heart for pink lace and frills.

I purchased this lace midi dress from Asos early this year to wear to my college graduation back in May, and I’m only just now getting around to sharing it with you! I love the slim and sleek cut because in counterbalances the feminine color and texture. Sheer elbow-length sleeves are one of my favorite elements, so I was thrilled that this dress had them. I also love the crop-top illusion combined with the lady-like length. Today I paired the dress with my favorite minimal gold jewelry and studded flats. To me, this dress makes quite a statement on it’s own, so I like to keep any accessories to the minimum. I paired it with a darker fuchsia lip, and am still loving the effect of deep lip colors with pale pink. This look is basically me embracing the warm weather while it lasts by combining pastels, sheers, and other things I don’t really go for in the colder months. 🙂pink midi dress IMG_5167 blush lace pencil dressfuchsia zinnia Asos Midi pencil dressIMG_5208IMG_5221 Chanel La Romanesque Chanel rouge alure velvet review Coco Mademoiselle chanel perfume

  2. Ah, be still my beating heart! You look so elegant! And so nice in that silhouette. You certainly pull off girly-girl with a bunch of class and taste. That is a look of refinement and your dark lipstick adds to it. I love your outfit posts! Thank you for sharing.
