Happy New Year!

Well readers, here we are in 2013. Can you believe it? I must say that I am super excited to be starting another year. There is something so refreshing to me about putting aside the old year and starting the new year.

Last year was such a wonderful year. It was certainly the most change in one year that I’ve been through in a long time. It was also most definitely the best year of my life so far! God has stretched me and grown me in many ways this year. I’ve completed a semester of college. I’ve performed at a college level. I’ve made many new friends. I’ve learned to drink coffee. I’ve overcome my irrational fear of raising my hands in praise to my savior. I’ve started a new Etsy shop. I am so grateful to God for everything that I was able to do through him last year.
As I was thinking over this past year, a favorite song chorus came to mind.

I may be weak
But your Spirit’s strong in me
My flesh may fail
My God you never will

Even though somethings were left undone, and I failed in many ways, God was working his plan for that year in me, and that fills me with joy. I’m so excited to see what he has in store for me this year!

I’ve gained so many new blog readers. I’m so thankful for each and everyone of you who stops by to read my thoughts. It amazes me that anyone really wants to read what I have to say, but I am so glad that you all do!

As I went through my list of goals from last year, it was fun to see what things I had actually completed. I realized I was a bit ambitious last year. This year I’m going to try to keep things a bit simpler. Instead of over one hundred random goals, here are ten things that I know I can accomplish in a year!

1. Organize and simplify my life.
2. Complete ten sewing projects for myself.
3. Complete ten knitting projects for myself.
4. Add new stock to the shop every month.
5. Spend time with Jesus every day.
6. Train for a 5k.
7. Be a vendor at some kind of craft show.
8. Spend more time enjoying God’s creation.
9. Be more involved in ministry.
10. Chill out, and enjoy this great life God has blessed me with!
In other news, I’m working on a fresh new design for the blog to start the year off with, as well as making plans for the shop this month.
I would love to know some of your goals for the coming year! May 2013 be your best year yet!
