It’s no secret that I love Audrey Hepburn for her style, her acting, and who she was as a person. Her personal style off and on camera inspires me– her sleek looks were so ahead of the time. Today’s look is my first capsule combination of the fall season, and I drew a lot of inspiration from Audrey.
If you’ve seen the film Funny Face, my swing trench really reminds me of the jacket she sports during the Bonjour Paris number. This classic Breton top from Everlane is a new piece to me, and has already become a closet favorite. It has the perfect amount of boxiness, and I love the black and white stripes. While Audrey probably would have chosen some pixie style pants, for this look I went with classic high-waisted jeans. They give the outfit a laid back feel which I am all about right now. For accessories, I chose my black suede loafers and black crossbody bag along with some dainty gold stud earrings and my favorite gold necklace. I love neutral outfits with a pop of red, and I recently found what may just be my perfect red lipstick. It’s by Red Apple Lipstick and is the shade Hollypeno. I just love how bright and cheerful it is.
This look was perfect for a day of running around down and stopping off for a cup of tea at my favorite café. Since our weather hasn’t cooled down a lot I was comfortable but still had some outerwear in case of rain. I picked up these pretty orange tulips at Whole Foods while I was out, and I love how they manage to look autumnal some how!
