Some favorite photos from my Instagram throughout January.
Last year I posted monthly reflection and goal posts, and I always enjoyed putting them together. I love having tangible goals set for myself that I know I can achieve, and I really love having them recorded in blog posts so I can keep up with my progress!
If I’m honest, January wasn’t a particularly happy month. Don’t get me wrong, it was a good month, but often times it’s easy to put up a facade through the internet making life look perfect all the time, and trust me, it’s not. A few rough situations with family and friends made the past several weeks difficult and sometimes dark, but I was reminded through each situation that Jesus is my steadfast and faithful friend. I’m blown away by how, through difficult or uncomfortable situations, God is drawing me closer to him. In seasons of darkness I realize just how much I need him, and he reminds me why he allows these things to happen. Leaving January behind, I realize I’ve grown a lot, and isn’t that better than just having fun?
Looking forward to February, I must confess I find myself a little bit nervous. According to my planner this next month will be the busiest of the semester, so I’m hopeful that I will be able to manage my time well and accomplish everything I need to. I also hope I can fit a few fun things in as well. 🙂
Here are my five goals for this month:
1. Finish the tea cozy I’m crocheting! I started this a few months ago, and keep forgetting about it!
2. Finish all the books I’m in the middle of reading.
3. Write notes to friends. I’ve put this on a list before, but it’s something I always have to remind myself to do.
4. Get outside and get some exercise.
5. Add more items to my Etsy shop.
I hope you had a wonderful January! What are you looking forward to in February?
