Letter Writing & Stationary Favorites (Collab with Hayley Solano!)

Letter writing has been something I’ve loved since I could first wield a pencil as a kid. Since I moved across the country at age eight, I had friends back at home that I wanted to keep in contact with. I remember my mom telling me I should write them letters so that we could stay friends over the years, so as an eight-year-old, I began writing to a few friends from home. Fast-forward 15 years, and today you’ll still find me writing letters and notes!

About a year ago I came across the prettiest and most inspiring Instagram account I had ever seen, and it belonged to Hayley Solano! Her whole aesthetic was so romantic and beautiful, and I was smitten with it. I also discovered the amazing songs that she writes and records, and couldn’t stop listening to them! We quickly realized through Instagram that we had very similar taste and shared a love of things like music, Anthropologie browsing, embroidery, and tea parties. She was nice enough to send me a lovely letter in the mail, and since then we’ve written and Snapchatted back-and-forth! It’s been so fun to become friends through the online world and through letter writing, even though we’ve never met! There’s something so magical about putting thoughts down in a letter and sending it off.

Since we are collaborating today, we thought it would be fun to share some of our favorite bits of stationary with you guys!

  1. Okay, totally in LOVE with all of these cards, especially the one with Jane Austen’s house on it. I love writing letters but don’t do it nearly as often as I should. I think I might have to start collecting cards now….all of these are just to pretty.

  2. So fun, you know how I love stationery! Also, I totally spelled it stationary forever. But it turns out it’s got an E. Who knew? I didn’t until I started my stationery business! Gotta love Rifle. I think I get my latest package from them today. Eep. 🙂 I also have tons of sealing wax…. but I haven’t ever used it. I need to prompt myself to do it. Snail mail love!
