May Photo-a-day: Week 1

Hi friends! I finished up all of my finals last week and am now home for the summer! I can’t believe that my junior year has come to a close so quickly, but I must admit I’m happy to have a break. My head is spinning with ideas for new projects, and I’m excited to share those with you!

I’m finally getting back to my photo-a-day posts! It is taking me some time to remember to actually take a picture everyday, but I’m starting to be more consistent. In any case, here are some photos from the past week or so.may15-2-15: These are just some things that I found around my dorm that I thought looked pretty together. I love the peachy tones in this photo. I haven’t actually started reading Z yet, but it is definitely on my summer reading list! may25-30-15: Practicing was basically my life for the last two weeks of school leading up to juries. I so enjoyed working on these pieces over the past semester, and of course Rustles of Spring lends itself well to this time of year. may35-4-15: Study, make tea, repeat. may85-5-15: Once I finished my jury and turned in my practice room key, this happened. I try to keep my nails on the subtle side with lessons and performances and what not, but summer is my time to go a little crazy with my polish choices. may45-6-15: I packed up and said goodbye to the dorm room that has been my home for the past several months. I loved living there, but I’m thrilled to be living in my own apartment next year!  may55-8-15: Home sweet home. My sister’s violin is quite photogenic.  may65-9-15: My big sister had a birthday, and I got to be home to celebrate with her!  may75-11-15: I got my mom’s Mother’s Day flowers from Whole Foods this year. These peonies were huge and so so pretty!

I hope you have all had a wonderful month so far! What have you been up to? I’d love to hear!

  1. I really enjoy your “photo a day” posts. Your pictures are gorgeous! Also, I love Keeley’s shirt.:)

  2. The picture a day thing sound really cool and a great way to practice looking for photo opportunities! I especially loved the first one!

And I just graduated high school and threw a big party to celebrate. Look on my blog for pics 🙂

  3. Congrats on finishing up the school year! I just finished my sophomore year… and I can definitely relate to all the studying, packing, and excitement upon coming home. I take it you’re studying music? (I have many friends at school who are music majors, so I kept hearing a lot about practicing and juries during those last few weeks 😉 ). Your photos are lovely, by the way! I look forward to seeing more! 🙂

    1. Thank you Stephanie! Congratulations to you also! It’s always so good to finish up another year of school.
Yes, I am studying music, and piano specifically. It’s a challenge but a lot of fun also. 🙂
Thanks so much for your sweet words about my photos!
I hope you have a lovely day!
