Hello lovelies! I’m sorry I’ve been absent for a few days. School will do that to you. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and a great Monday. I’m writing this from the student center, my new favorite blogging spot. It’s like Starbucks, but it’s not. I don’t really have anything particular to say today, so I’ll just share some random ideas and thoughts.
I’m brainstorming up ways to remake some period drama costumes into modern wearable garments. I think it would be so much fun to wear something that may not be special to other people, but really awesome to me because of the movie it’s based on. Here are two of my current inspirations, but check out my Pinterest board for more that I will be sharing later!
This one seems to be quite popular among the sewing world, and I can see why. I would probably shorten the sleeves and skirt, but think it would be totally wearable with those changes.
I think this one would be just beautiful if it was shortened and worn with tights and boots for the Autumn.
Other happy things:
Colette Patterns just released two fabulous looking designs! The Anise jacket, which I would love to make in red wool with a fun silk lining, and the Juniper trousers which I would also love to make though my head isn’t filled with as many plans for them:o)
That’s all for now. Have a wonderful and blessed week friends!
