As much as I love beauty routines, one area I often overlook is a classic manicure. As a nearly life-long pianist and violinist, I’ve never payed too much attention to my hands or nails, other than to make sure my nails were trimmed short. One thing that has always been a plague for me is dry skin on my hands and around my nails, but recently I’ve come up with a solution that’s helping thanks to a beautiful product from L’Occitane, the sponsor of this blog post.
When L’Occitane offered to let me try out one of their shea butter hand creams, I was so excited. You guys know I’m a bit of a Francophile, and French skincare products are something I’ve always been drawn to for their elegance and good ingredients. Speaki ng of good ingredients, L’Occitane’s shea butter hand cream contains 20% shea butter, all of which is fair trade– something you don’t often see from major skincare brands! I enjoyed visiting the L’Occitane Cares page on their website which highlights many of the brands social and environmental work.
After testing out this product for a while, it’s become a staple in my evening routine. I love how moisturizing it is, but also how it sinks in quickly and isn’t greasy. The fragrance is so sophisticated, and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin which I love! It’s difficult to find a fragranced product I can use, but this one I definitely can. I like to use the hand cream right before I go to sleep as a final step to my evening routine. The scent is calming, and it’s a nice little ritual– plus the skin on my hands is looking much better just with the addition of this one step!
If you are interested in trying out L’Occitane’s hand cream, you can find it in two sizes at your local Sephora, or online here. ($12-$28)
