I’ve seen quite a few summer bucket list posts in my Bloglovin’ feed lately, and since we all know I love a good list, I thought I would join in on the fun. I always find that listing out things I want to do or accomplish means they are way more likely to actually happen, so to inspire some productivity in my life, here are some goals I have for this summer! 😀
-Read 5 books.
There’s just nothing like reading in the summertime, and I like to use this time of year to catch up on things I’ve been meaning to read or books that are sitting around half finished. I’ll be sure to share a reading list later in the summer.
-Write notes to friends.
I love sending an old-fashioned handwritten note, and I plan to send a few this season. An excuse to use Rifle Paper Company cards? Yes please!
-Learn 2 new pieces on the piano, and 2 new pieces on the violin.
Now that I’ve graduated, I’m back to making music merely for the love of it. I’m hoping to work on a few Dvorak works for violin as well as some Chopin and Beethoven piano pieces.
-Do something fun and different to celebrate my birthday.
I have a few ideas in the works for this, and if they happen, I’ll definitely blog about them!
-Successfully complete Adrienne’s 30 Days of Yoga.
I love the Yoga with Adrienne YouTube channel, and I would love to successfully complete a challenge like this. Yoga is quickly becoming my favorite way to get some exercise and focus my thinking, and having so many great practices available in my home is wonderful.
-Refinish the dresser I’ve had waiting for a coat of paint since last summer. Oops! 😉
You may remember that before I moved into my last college apartment, I found an old dresser by the side of the road. It was really cute, but needed some love, and I never got around to finishing it before I moved out of the apartment. A bit of a fail, but I’ll still use it in my post-grad life!
-Tour a local historic home.
I recently ran across a beautiful old place that I had never seen, and that is free to tour, so you know I’ll be checking that out soon! I love the magic of an old house.
-Try a new local coffee shop or restaurant.
My sisters and I have been having a blast checking out local places since we are all fairly new to living in the area, and we have a good list of other places to try! I’m loving working in coffee shops in the mornings, and I would love to have some more options.
What are some things on your summer to-do list? I’d love to hear!
