During my high school years I was that stereotypical homeschooled girl with a total obsession with Anne of Green Gables. I loved the books and the movies, and still do. When I got my beautiful new babe of a bike from Papillionaire, I couldn’t help but think of Anne in the second film riding around Avonlea and knocking Gilbert into the lake. Good times my friends.

While, contrary to how my blog makes it appear, I don’t live in vintage style dresses and skirts constantly, I decided to come up with a light and breezy Edwardian style outfit. I love this top from Target for its comfort and pretty lace detailing. I paired it with a romantic floral skirt from Modcloth, and added a brown belt and oxfords.

Of course I had to break out my beautiful vintage copy of Anne of Avonlea for this shoot. It’s just too pretty, isn’t it?

I hope you are all having a wonderful week! Are you a fan of the Anne books and movies? Which are your favorites? I’d love to hear!

  4. Thanks for the follow. Your blog is absolutely lovely.

I have always been a fan of both the books and the movies. My dad says that I remind him of Anne very very much. I’m not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, but I’ll take it. Anyway, your outfit here is lovely. I saw that the skirt was from modcloth and did a little cheer : )
