Outfit: Blush Lace & Ripped Denim

thred up review

I’ve always loved outfits that juxtapose different styles, and one of my favorite ways to do this is to combine feminine pieces with ripped loose jeans. It provides so much interest, is unexpected, and helps me not to feel too pink and frilly. I recently picked up this blush lace blouse from ThredUp, and I’m in love! It’s a simple tee shirt in structure, but looks so elegant and unique. It also has this fun gold exposed zipper in the back which is an element I love. For this look I paired the top with my (very) old ripped light-wash loose skinny jeans. These are ankle length and have cute zippers at the ankle. For accessories, I switched it back to classic and feminine with my studded flats and neutral cross-body, both with gold hardware. To finish it off I added my favorite simple bar stud earrings.

We took these photos while I was downtown on a shoot, and it just so happened to be at sunset! I love that a streetcar even made an appearance while we took these. Downtown is one of my favorite places in the city, and I’m finding new favorite coffee shops, parks, and museums all the time. We drove around the historic district for a while, and you just know I was going crazy for the Victorian homes. There are so many beautiful pieces of history right here in my city, and I can’t wait to keep exploring!  blush lace and jeans

  1. I absolutely LOVE how you mixed these styles Lauren, and that top is so Chic! Downtown is definitely a favorite place of mine to take pictures and I absolutely can’t get over that you all have a street car….how perfect! I live in a small town so my favorite part of downtown is definitely the antique shops and the historic houses.

    1. Thank you so much Madison! I’m really feeling this style of top right now! I absolutely love historic houses! Seriously, they get me way too excited! There is a historic area in our downtown with a few from the 1700s and it makes me so happy! I’m hoping to tour a local 1840s home in the next couple of weeks, so maybe I’ll get some outfit photos there!
