Outfit / Finished Project: Black and White and Red All Over

Do you guys remember how I was planning to have some red trousers cut by the end of the week? Well somehow I managed to cut and sew them in one afternoon! Yay for new red wide legs! I thought I would incorporate them into an outfit post instead of a boring old “here is what I made” post.
I paired my new trousers with a white spotted button down which I tucked in half way. I wore my hair in a retro inspired pony-tail and painted my nails the same shade as the trousers.

Yes, I do own other shoes, but once again I wore my favorite nude wedges. They are the perfect summer shoe.

I made the trousers out of a linen and rayon blend because I wanted a pant that would be lightweight and comfortable in our blazing hot summers. The fabric did the trick! They are so comfy.

I lined the pockets with some silk from a scarf I had stained. The colors look adorable together, and kind of 60’s mod.

Blouse: Banana Republic; Trousers: Me; Wedges: Guess via DSW.

I’m so excited to have learned to make trousers! I highly recommend using Colette Patterns Juniper pant pattern if you have never made them before. The step by step instructions were so helpful, and I’m so pleased with the final product!
