Hi friends, and happy Tuesday! I feel like it’s been ages since I’ve done an outfit post, but I finally have one to share today! I’m currently playing around with simplifying my wardrobe for autumn, which means I’m working with a lot of neutral basic pieces these days, so this outfit reflects that.

I got this fun heart printed chambray shirt at LOFT last year, and had never found a way that I loved to wear it until this little button down midi skirt came into my life a few weeks ago. I just love the combination of the two. It’s neutral, but still feminine and fun. I knotted the shirt for a little waist definition, and added my favorite brown accessories: my flats and my cross-body bag.

This past weekend we had a couple of days that actually felt like autumn, and as you can see in a few of my photos today, the leaves are starting to change colors! I love this time of year so much, and am currently trying to stop myself from ordering 15 different fall candles. 😉 Life continues to be full of the bustle of school, and I have to admit the “senioritis” everyone talks about is so real for me. I can’t wait to have my degree and be done! For now though, I’m making a paper chain to count down the weeks this semester. Can one really be getting a degree and still make paper chains? I think yes.

Thank you so much for visiting today! Is it starting to feel like autumn where you live? What are you looking forward to this season? I’d love to hear!

  1. Last week there were two days that were perfectly Fall like, and then the dreadful Texas weather hit and now it is back to the 80’s during the day….thankfully though the mornings are at least cooling down:) I always look forward to wearing sweaters and wool skirts, drinking pumpkin lattes and eating everything pumpkin that I can find!
I really loved the simplicity of this ensemble Lauren. Absolutely perfect for the arrival of fall.

  3. Lauren,
I’ve been to your blog a few times but can’t remember if I left a comment but I like your style and sweet spirit! How long have you been blogging? Sounds like quite a few years! -you are a natural!

    1. Hi Melanie! I’m so glad you left a comment! I really appreciate you taking the time to visit my blog! I’ve been blogging for four years officially this week, and I find that a little hard to believe myself! I started out a couple of years before that with a blog related to an Etsy shop I had at the time, and then transitioned to personal blogging in 2011. Thank you again for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!
