Plans & Goals for 2017

Rifle Paper Co. Calendar & Candle

Happy New Year dear friends! I love the feeling of freshness that comes with the advent of a new year, and today, I’m excited to share some of my plans and goals with you, both for this blog, and for me personally. I’m one of those people who actually really enjoys setting New Year’s Resolutions, and I find that they really help motivate me to work harder and smarter. I want to share those resolutions with you today, and also share some of my plans for the blog in the coming months.

My Personal Goals

-Reach 40% French fluency on Duolingo.

If you aren’t familiar with Duolingo, and you are interested in learning a language, I highly recommend this free app! I’ve studied French off and on for years, so I’m using the app to help reinforce my knowledge of grammar and spelling, and I find it so helpful! If any of you are learning a new language, I’d love to hear what is helpful for you in the learning process.

-Read 30 books

This year will be my first full year out of school ever, so I’m excited to have an entire year to work on a reading goal with no scholarly distractions. You can keep up with my progress by friending me on Goodreads!

-Complete Revolution with Yoga with Adrienne

I’m excited to try 31 consecutive days of yoga through this program. If you’re interested in getting started with yoga, I love Yoga with Adrienne. Her videos are incredibly well produced and easy to follow.

-Complete 10 days of the miracle morning routine

I’ve been hearing quite a bit about the miracle morning lately, and I’m curious to try it for my self at some point this year. I’m not a morning, person, but I’d love to change that.

My Blog Plans

2016 was such a wonderful year for me as a blogger. I found a subject and direction I’m passionate about, and I’m excited to delve into these topics even more in 2017. This year I really want to focus on the practicality of ethical fashion, no matter your budget or style. I’m searching for the very best of the best brands to share with you in terms of style and kindness, and I can’t wait!

A few things on the horizon:

-Decluttering: a 3 part series

-Where to shop for jeans ethically

-Yes, you can afford to shop ethically

-The mathematics of ethical fashion

-Where to shop for affordable basics ethically

-Reviews of ethically made clothing, accessories, and beauty products

-Planning for my winter capsule & a capsule planner update

-My winter style experiment

-10X10 style challenge

-And much more!

If you have any requests for posts you would find interesting or helpful, I would love to hear your ideas as I schedule out my calendar in the coming days.

Thank you for reading Chic Éthique in 2016, and I can’t wait to see where 2017 will take us!
