Bike Style: Polka Dotted T-shirt (from a free pattern!)

Contrary to what my blog may lead you to believe, I don’t live my life in cute vintage styled dresses everyday. More often than not, I’m in a basic uniform of jeans, a knit top or chambray shirt, flat shoes, and a cross-body bag. It’s a super easy, comfortable, and casual look that still looks a little bit put together.

Tee Shirt: Made by me

Chambray Shirt: INC at Macy’s (super old)

Bag: Lauren Ralph Lauren via DSW

Jeans + Sandals: American Eagle Outfitters

Lipstick: Clinique’s Melon Pop

When I saw Deer & Doe’s free t-shirt pattern, I immediately knew I wanted to make it. It’s the kind of style I could always use more of in my wardrobe. I made my first version in cute green and navy polka dotted knit, and I love the result. Here I’ve paired it with a chambray top, my most comfy skinny jeans, and my favorite summer sandals. It makes the perfect biking outfit!

My bike is from Papillionaire, and it is my baby. Papillionaire makes the most beautiful vintage inspired bicycles, and I love mine. It is the Mixte style which is the perfect combination of style and function in my book.

I finally managed to get my hair trimmed this week, and I’m so happy to have it back at this length!

I hope you enjoyed seeing a sewing project and a casual outfit in one post! What are you all up to this weekend? Thanks so much for stopping by today! 😀

  2. I love your haircut, Lauren! Since I’m still new around here I was just now reading your about me page and oh my gosh, my mother taught me how to sew too, my husband is the eldest of 8 children (we live right down the road from his family too so I feel like I’m the 9th child sometimes ;D ), our favorite thing to watch are period dramas, we practically live on tea, Jesus is the reason for hope in my life, AND I wish I could blow all my spare money at Sephora! 😉 Needless to say, I’m so so happy I found you.

And to answer your weekend plans question, today I’m just chilling at home while my hubby is at work, and then tomorrow after church we’re sticking around to do some volunteer work, then off to the mall to run some errands (aka, replacing our internet router because a bolt of lighting fried it. -.-) and then having dinner with grandparents!

    1. Thank you so much Annaka! And wow, it sounds like we have so much in common! My favorite thing about blogging is how it brings together people who love the same things. I’m so excited to have you here, and I look forward to getting to know you better! 😀
Sounds like you had a fun weekend!
I so appreciate you taking the time to read, and hope you have a wonderful Monday!
