Happy Monday friends! With fall in full swing, I’m currently all about cozy knits. There are few things I love quite as much as pulling on my favorite cable-knit sweater, brewing a cup of tea, and curling up with a book. One great thing about knitted sweaters is that the styles have remained relatively the same for years, making them wonderful pieces to source at vintage shops. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite vintage knits from across Etsy, including a lot of sweaters, and a couple of sweater dresses! If you are still looking for that perfect cozy piece for fall, or just for a bit of autumnal inspiration, I hope you enjoy perusing these vintage picks.
Fall is quite possibly my favorite time of year when it comes to dressing. I love all of the layering, cozy knitted pieces, plaid, tweed, and combinations of neutral and jewel tones. The textures and colors create so much warmth, dimension, and interest allowing for a wonderful sense of creativity in the construction of an outfit. As I’ve approached autumn dressing this year, I’ve found myself browsing vintage shops. There are so many incredible classic pieces available for this season, making it a great time to experiment with vintage shopping if you haven’t already. From cable knits, to unique outerwear, here are some of my favorites this fall.
Happy Monday friends! I’m starting to plan for my fall capsule wardrobe, even though the weather has gone back up to summer-esque proportions this week. I recently pulled all of my autumn clothing out of storage, and began to evaluate what I wanted to keep, get rid of, and purchase for the new season. Unfortunately a few of my pieces were attacked by some moths with expensive taste, so I’m anticipating having to replace a few more pieces than usual. While I’ll be thrifting and sewing several items, I also want to purchase from a few ethical brands this fall, both so that I can try them out, and so I can share my experiences with you. Here are some of the pieces I’m eyeing for autumn!
Happy Thanksgiving friends! Over the past several years this holiday has become more and more special to me, and gratitude has become something I try to be intentional about practicing. It is so easy to get caught up in day-to-day business and forget to take time to reflect, so I love that we have this time set aside each year to remind us of all the good in our lives. One of my favorite quotes reads “interrupt anxiety with gratitude.,” and I’ve been working to live this quote out.
It’s been a year full of ups and downs and change– and it’s been wonderful.
Here are some things I’m grateful for:
You guys, it’s September! September-December are my favorite months of the year, and I’m so happy this season has arrived. Of course even though it’s 85 degrees outside, I’m pretending it’s fall. There’s an autumn candle burning and I’ve had plenty of hot tea this morning. 😀 My pumpkin plants are growing away, and my sisters baked an apple cake last night…I think it’s safe to say we are ready!
