Handbags are some of the primary investment pieces in my wardrobe. The work that goes into creating one is taxing and meticulous, often making them more expensive than other items I purchase. While I’m not the type to run out and buy a new bag each season, I am slowly collecting an assortment that serve me well and will last for years. Quality over quantity really rings true. One thing I have discovered as I have researched ethical handbag options is that fair production does not always cost as much as I would expect, and traditional manufacturing of designer bags is sometimes inflated. A high-quality ethically made bag does not need to cost a month’s rent. Today I’m rounding up some of my favorite bags from a mixture of vegan and non-vegan brands. If you are looking to add a classic bag to your wardrobe, I hope you find this post helpful.
Fall has long been my favorite season for nail polish, and over the past few years I’ve accumulated some tried and true shades. Since I’ve been working on using more non-toxic formulas, and also on decluttering my life, my collection has definitely diminished, but I have noticed three stand-out colors I continue to reach for. During this time of year I’m drawn to both deep reds and burgundies, and mauve shades with a hint of grey. I find that these two color families give me enough versatility for the season, and still feel autumn-appropriate. On to the polishes!
Happy Monday friends! With fall in full swing, I’m currently all about cozy knits. There are few things I love quite as much as pulling on my favorite cable-knit sweater, brewing a cup of tea, and curling up with a book. One great thing about knitted sweaters is that the styles have remained relatively the same for years, making them wonderful pieces to source at vintage shops. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite vintage knits from across Etsy, including a lot of sweaters, and a couple of sweater dresses! If you are still looking for that perfect cozy piece for fall, or just for a bit of autumnal inspiration, I hope you enjoy perusing these vintage picks.
