Happy Monday friends! I’m starting to plan for my fall capsule wardrobe, even though the weather has gone back up to summer-esque proportions this week. I recently pulled all of my autumn clothing out of storage, and began to evaluate what I wanted to keep, get rid of, and purchase for the new season. Unfortunately a few of my pieces were attacked by some moths with expensive taste, so I’m anticipating having to replace a few more pieces than usual. While I’ll be thrifting and sewing several items, I also want to purchase from a few ethical brands this fall, both so that I can try them out, and so I can share my experiences with you. Here are some of the pieces I’m eyeing for autumn!
I love wardrobe staples that can be mixed up across all four seasons, and today I wore an outfit that was entirely made up of pieces I wear all year! Basics are awesome for pairing with statement pieces, but I also love how they look together for a more simple and casual look. Today’s look is a combination of a striped shirt, anorak jacket, and jeans. These are pieces I always have in my capsule, so today I’m sharing how I style them for the autumn and winter seasons!
Because basic doesn’t have to mean boring, does it?
Happy Friday friends! Today I’m excited to be collaborating with Carmel Elizabeth.
She’s a fashion and beauty blogger based out of Tennessee (Yay for state neighbors!,) and she creates wonderful content. I just love her classic New England vibe. We thought it would be fun to show you two contrasting go-to autumn looks- mine is a work look, and hers is more laid back. Be sure to pop on over to her blog and give her some love as soon as you’re done here!
Fall has taken it’s own sweet time in coming this year, but it’s finally cooling down, and I’m all finished putting together my fall capsule wardrobe! I’m so pleased with how the pieces in my closet came together this season, and I’m beginning to see how capsule wardrobes have helped me figure out what my style is and how I like dressing. It’s so great to look in my closet and only see pieces I love! This season my wardrobe consists of 35 pieces.
