While in Europe, I got to visit Italy for the first time, and it was pretty dreamy. We drove in from Austria, and started our visit in Venice, or Venezia if you’re Italian. It completely blew away my expectations, and I even loved the quintessential tourist activities. From gondolas to gelato, Italy is magical, and these were some of my favorite moments.
Welcome to a brand new series: Vintage Picks! I’ve long loved browsing Etsy for vintage clothing and accessories, but I know from experience it can be time-consuming and overwhelming. With this in mind, each week I will be curating some of my favorite vintage pieces around a unifying theme or idea with the purpose of making vintage shopping a little easier, and also to give myself the fun of hunting down items and putting them together! Without further ado, here’s the first installment of Vintage Picks!
Blue & White
When summer rolls around, I find myself drawn to blue pieces, be they denim or something else, and soft white cotton numbers, often with sweet embroidered details. Thankfully when it comes to both of these style ideas, the vintage world has me covered from the 1910s to the 1990s. A little white dress topped with a denim jacket and a straw hat sounds like the perfect summer ensemble in my book. These are the pieces I have my eye on when it comes to blue, white, and straw. I can’t get over the cold-shoulder dress or perfect market hat!
*The shop selling the basket bag just went on vacation, but I’ll link to it when it returns!

Happy Saturday friends! I’m excited to be back with another outfit, and today’s is one of my current favorites. It’s oh-so comfortable, but has a classic vintage-inspired feel which you know I love. Lately I’ve been playing around with styling some of my favorite dresses as skirts to help me stretch my wardrobe even further, and of all of the combinations I’ve come up with so far, this is the one I’ve come back to the most.

Today marks the start of Fashion Revolution Week, and in the spirit of this week, I wanted to share some tips on one of my favorite things: ethical shopping, and in particular budget ethical shopping. When I first made the switch to ethical fashion, I was concerned about finding pieces I loved in my price point, and while there are a lot of good reasons to invest in more expensive pieces, sometimes you simply can’t make those expenditures. I’m young, and working on saving rather than spending a lot of money on costly clothing, and as much as I love style, I’ve found methods of expressing it and shopping ethically without breaking the bank.
Here are my top 5 tips for shopping ethically on a budget
Friends! It’s time for the very last look in my spring 10×10 style challenge! This has been such a fun creative exercise for me, but I’m so excited to have my full closet to pick from again tomorrow. I love how this challenge has pushed me to try new ways to wear the items in my closet, and today’s look is one of my favorite new combinations. It’s made of up of two pieces I would never have thought to put together outside of the 10×10 restrictions, and I love how it looks. The combination of a fitted top and full skirt is a nod to some of my favorite vintage looks,
And you just can’t beat a twirly skirt in the spring!
