Christmas is coming oh-so quickly, and today I’m excited to share a fun DIY gift wrap tutorial with you! I recently became aware that most gift wrap is not recyclable, and I wanted to come up with a beautiful way to present gifts that can still be recycled. I came up with this super cute gold polka dotted paper, and it’s so easy to make! All you need is an old grocery bag (I used Whole Foods which is a great size,) and a metallic gold paint pen. You can really customize this paper to be your own unique style, and I love that it’s made from a recycled material and can be recycled again– plus it’s just so pretty!
One of the things I love about the festive season is the excuse to break out some of my favorite holiday beauty products. Most of the year I don’t go for sparkle, but similar to my attitude with clothes, come Christmas, give me all the glitter! That said, I think there are some very chic and sophisticated ways to wear glitter, and today I’m sharing my favorite products for holiday sparkle and shine that still feel polished and elegant.
Let’s break out the glitz and glamor, shall we?
As much as I love neutral clothing, once December approaches I’m ready to inject a bit of festive fun into my wardrobe! This year I’ve decided to swap out a few pieces from my fall capsule wardrobe for some holiday specific pieces I’ll wear throughout the Christmas season. The pieces I’m trading them with will go into storage with my summer wardrobe pieces for now. I have four items I’m including here in this post, and one that I’m adding later which I’ll discuss further. I’m excited to start wearing all of these fun items and to share them with you!
Bring on the sparkle, velvet, and fairisle because it’s the holiday season!
This year in my gift guide series, I wanted to include a segment on beauty gifts that include cruelty free, sustainable, and natural options. I always love giving and receiving beauty products, so today I’m sharing some of my favorite beauty gifts for the holiday season. The world of beauty products can be a bit overwhelming in it’s volume, so I’ve compiled some amazing items from across different categories for you to peruse.
These products have the luxury factor and are beautiful without being harmful!
Happy Thanksgiving friends! Over the past several years this holiday has become more and more special to me, and gratitude has become something I try to be intentional about practicing. It is so easy to get caught up in day-to-day business and forget to take time to reflect, so I love that we have this time set aside each year to remind us of all the good in our lives. One of my favorite quotes reads “interrupt anxiety with gratitude.,” and I’ve been working to live this quote out.
