Hi friends! I hope you have all had a wonderful week and are ready for the weekend! My week was so much fun with my birthday on Monday and other things throughout the week. On Tuesday I went to see Mr. Holmes with family and friends (wonderful performances but a little slow in my opinion,) and on Wednesday I got to see my sister off at the airport as she left for an adventure in Europe! I’m so excited for her! I’m spending today nannying and working on an Etsy order which is always fun. Tomorrow I’m planning to do a little bit of garage sale shopping for more apartment stuff, and then dinner, Paper Towns, and coffee with Brynna. 🙂
On to the favorites:
– How cute are these cactus pin cushions? I want to make a little pin cushion succulent garden!
– Are any of you on Tumblr? I’m trying to get into it and would love for you to join me!
– I’m keeping up with my sister’s adventures over on her blog! She is even planning to do some vlogging throughout her trip which I can’t wait to watch!
– I love this quote by J. K. Rowling.
– I tested out Stella by Stella McCartney at Sephora the other day. Not only does it smell amazing, but it comes in the cutest polka dotted bottle!
Thanks for stopping by today, and have a wonderful weekend!
Hi friends! As I mentioned in my recent Q&A post, lipstick is one of my favorite things, so in light of this fact, I thought it would be fun to put together a video showing you all some of my favorite lip colors for the summer! There are a variety of shades and finishes, so you may just find your next favorite lipstick!
If you are interested, you can subscribe to my YouTube channel here to keep up with each video I post! I’ve really been enjoying the process of making videos, and have some fun ideas in the works!
What are some of your favorite summer lip colors? Have you tried any of the products I mention in the video? Do you have any video requests for me?
One of my favorite parts of Sephora’s rewards program is the birthday reward they give out during birthday months. This year’s is especially great- two mini NARS lip pencils, one satin, and one matte! The satin finish pencil is a more neutral shade, and the matte shade is more bold, so there is a lot of variety in this set.
I picked mine up last time I went to Sephora, and have been loving both colors!
Rikugien is a lovely rose color with a touch of brown. It has a glossy finish, and is so comfortable and easy to wear. I was also surprised by the lasting power of this pencil, and how much it seemed to hydrate my lips. It’s definitely a winner!
Cruella is a stunning matte deep red, similar to one of my favorite lipsticks, MAC’s Russian Red. I had heard several people talk about this shade, so I was doubly excited to try it, and I love it! It is so easy to apply for a bold color, and I love that it isn’t too dry feeling like so many matte lip colors.
Are you a member of Sephora’s rewards program? Have you gotten your birthday reward yet this year? If so, what were your thoughts?
