The Good Things: March

the-good-things-marchIt’s hard to believe that it’s already time to reflect on another month, but here I am, typing up a reflection on March! March was such a fun and full month, and I’m so grateful for the good times and memories it held. I’m excited about April, and I’m planning to put out content either here on the blog, or over on the YouTube channel every. single. day. this month! I need the creative boost of producing a lot of material, and I really hope you will enjoy seeing what I create over the next several weeks. If you have any requests for posts or videos, just let me know! As usual, stay tuned to the end of this post for my March favorites video and a peek into the next month.

To start things off, here are some things that brought me joy in the month of March.

Mylo Coffee Co. Little RockHappy weekend friends! It’s been a while since I sat down to type up a weekender post, and I’ve missed it! This week I was so happy to see Friday come. For some reason I really struggled to be motivated at work all week– maybe it was the after effects of being ill? In any case, I’m so looking forward to this weekend and the following week! My brother arrived in town late last night, and the holidays are kicking off for my family. I look forward to Thanksgiving week more and more the older I get. There’s nothing quite as sweet as spending quality time with my family, especially as these times are increasingly rare.

Tonight I’m excited to be attending a symphony concert for the first time this season. I love the music, and I love the excuse to dress up! Sunday’s have become so busy for me this fall with rehearsals, but I’m enjoying making music with some wonderful people. Next week I’m off of work, and it promises to be full of laughter, baking, Christmas movies, and my favorite people. I’m also super excited to be bringing some festive cheer here to the blog! Keep your eyes peeled for some fun posts starting on Tuesday!

Anthropologie Shelf StylingHey friends, and happy Sunday! Both my week and my weekend ended up being so full and fun this week, and I’m finding myself pretty tired on this rainy Sunday afternoon. I’m looking forward to having a little time to rest when I get home from rehearsal today. 🙂 I started taking care of international children at a local organization where their moms take English classes, which has been so fun and rewarding. Being involved in the international community is important to me, and I’m so thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with people from different cultures.

I’m really starting to settle into the routine of teaching, and I’m loving it more and more all the time. On top of playing violin in my church’s holiday orchestra, I’m also starting to play keyboard in the band on Sunday mornings. It’s new for me and means I’m getting up early on the weekend, but I’m enjoying learning and making music with other people. Moving into this new phase of life has been uncertain often times, but I’m so grateful for the opportunities that have come and continue to come my way.

In my spare time, I’m planning out as much fashion content as I can for the fall, so get ready!

Anthropologie CatalogueHi friends! I hope your week was wonderful, and that you’ve had a relaxing weekend so far. I had such a wonderful week at school– I’m continually reminded of what a gift it is to get to teach. I love seeing my students faces light up when they understand a musical concept or do something well, and hearing them say they love piano makes me so happy. Speaking of music, I’m excited to be acting on one of my 23 goals by starting rehearsal for my church’s orchestra tomorrow. I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to play violin in a group setting. I love ensemble music! Plus we’ll be working on Christmas music, which is pretty much my favorite thing in the world. 😀

One highlight of this past week was that I had my best week of driving ever! I haven’t updated you guys since I wrote my post about my driving anxiety, but as of this week I’m feeling so much more confident and comfortable. I so appreciate those of you who had similar experiences and reached out to me.

I went through my fall clothes a few days ago, and as much as I want to start wearing them all right now, it’s still too hot! I’m planning several posts on my autumn wardrobe next week, so stay tuned for those! Lots of Starbucks and fall candles are helping me not get too impatient waiting for the cool weather. 🙂
