5-free? 7-free? 8-free? Cruelty-free?
Hi there friends, and happy Monday! As I’ve become more interested in natural and cruelty-free cosmetics, I’ve done a bit of research on nail polishes. Nail polish is one of my favorite things, and it was interesting to learn a bit more about the ingredients of each brand that I used. I put my nail polish collection through a bit of a detox, and today I want to talk about some brands that have remained favorites in my collection. Let’s go!
It’s been a while since I’ve shared a beauty post, and after a good long stretch of using the same products every day, I’ve added a few new things into the mix for the summer that I want to share with you! These days I’m all about a simple and fuss-free routine that leaves me looking fresh. Peachy tones always speak to me during the warmer months, as well as light fresh scents. I have four products to tell you about today, so let’s jump right in!
Well friends, another weekend is here, and I’m spending it trying to get over a cold which means lots of ginger tea and quiet work. Despite being ill, I can’t say I’m mad about it! I got back from Chicago late Wednesday night, and can’t wait to share all of the content I shot while I was traveling– I even tried my hand at creating a travel and outfit vlog that I’ll be posting to my YouTube channel soon! Life has been pretty quiet this week since I’m a teacher, and it’s spring break. I’m grateful for the opportunity to rest and recover, and I’m looking forward to being back to working with my students on Monday.
But for now, it’s time for another round of weekend links!
I’m starting out the year here on the blog with a decluttering series! Recently I’ve been learning more about minimizing through various resources, and I’ve felt inspired to try and reduce the clutter in my life. Today we’re starting out with my beauty stash, one of the most cluttered areas of my life. It was full of things I didn’t get value out of, and it felt so good to reduce the number of items in my collection. I filmed the decluttering process for you, so you can get a good idea of how I go through these little decisions.
Grab a cuppa, and get inspired!
Over the past year, I’ve become more and more interested in natural and green beauty products. There are so many amazing eco-friendly brands on the market, so lately instead of trying out the latest Sephora finds, I’ve been exploring the green beauty world. As I researched the different brands that create these products, I ran across Red Apple Lipstick, and they stood out to me for a few reasons, one of which being that they are gluten free. My mom recently found out she has a wheat allergy, and can’t wear makeup that contains gluten, so I wanted to try out the brand both because it looked amazing, and I knew she would appreciate some information on how the products performed- we’re both pretty picky when it comes to makeup!
