5 Movies for Style Inspiration

I love watching movies, particularly anything in the period drama category or films from the 1930s-50s. One of my favorite ways to wind down is to brew a cup of tea, put on my favorite cozy sweater, and curl up with a favorite movie. Costume design has always been interesting to me, and I love seeing how the clothes of different characters add depth to how we perceive them in the story. A well developed character will have an equally well developed wardrobe, rather it’s what I would call beautiful or not. I take a lot of style inspiration from my favorite films, and today I’m sharing a few of those favorites with you. Wardrobe inspiration is everywhere, but it is abundant on the silver screen.

ethical-fall-capsule-wardrobe-wishlist-2017A New Season

Happy Monday friends! I’m starting to plan for my fall capsule wardrobe, even though the weather has gone back up to summer-esque proportions this week. I recently pulled all of my autumn clothing out of storage, and began to evaluate what I wanted to keep, get rid of, and purchase for the new season. Unfortunately a few of my pieces were attacked by some moths with expensive taste, so I’m anticipating having to replace a few more pieces than usual. While I’ll be thrifting and sewing several items, I also want to purchase from a few ethical brands this fall, both so that I can try them out, and so I can share my experiences with you. Here are some of the pieces I’m eyeing for autumn!
