Alice in Wonderland by Rifle Paper Co.

IMG_4755You all know how much I love Rifle Paper Co., so when my dear friend Brynna gave me Anna Bond’s version of Alice in Wonderland as a graduation gift, I knew I would need to devote a blog post to it. The book is absolutely beautiful, and makes a great edition to my storybook collection (would that be something you would be interested in seeing as a blog post?!) This edition was released in honor of the 150th anniversary of the book, and I’m so happy to have it. Unlike the Puffin in Bloom collection, this book is illustrated all throughout the interior which is so fun to look through.  Lately I’ve been flipping through the illustrations while sipping tea and knitting on my most recent project. I started a cable knit scarf in an effort to get ahead on autumn knitting!

Polka Rose

tea party flatlay

Prepare yourself for tea set photo overload! This set has a bit of a story. I first fell in love with Royal Albert’s Polka Rose pattern around five years ago. I had grown up loving their classic Old Country Roses china, and even had a mini tea service for my dolls in that pattern. When I discovered Polka Rose, it seemed like the perfect updated edition of an old favorite, and fit my personality perfectly. After stalking it on the internet for several years, I finally decided to order it as a graduation present to myself! 😉

Royal Albert Polka Rose tea cup

The set is the prettiest pale mint green speckled with white polka dots. I love the gold rims, and the sprinkling of pinky roses. I ordered the tea service and four tea cups and saucers off of Amazon which was a bit cheaper than other sites. Eventually I’d love to add plates and serving-ware to my collection. I think it’s the perfect vintage tea set, and I can’t wait to use it for tea parties!

A Springtime Birthday Tea

My dear friend Brynna had her 21st birthday yesterday! To celebrate, her sisters threw her a wonderful birthday tea last Sunday complete with three cakes, lots of beautiful flowers, and of course pots of tea. I brought along my camera as per usual to try to capture some of the beautiful details and thought I would share them with you today. Bethany has such an eye for elegance- everything was beautiful!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week! Thanks for visiting today!
