Happy Monday friends! Last Thursday was my 24th birthday, and I had such a nice day spent with family and dear friends. I always love my birthday, not so much for the celebration, while I do love that, as much as for the time to reflect on what I’ve done and been blessed with in the past year. I also love to take this time to come up with a list of goals I want to achieve at the new age I’ve reached. I’m told I should compile a 25 before 25 bucket list– have any of you done this? This year I’m particularly aware of just how much can change in a year as I think back to last summer when I was totally unsure of my path after my college graduation that spring. Since then I’ve been given so many wonderful opportunities, and I’ve grown so much. I even managed to mostly conquer my fear of driving!
Each year when the weather warms up, my style goes through a shift towards all things flowing, billowy, ruffled, and romantic. Sizzling summer days conjure up visions of 1970s music festivals and the Victorian revival styles that have always had a place in my heart. My more minimal basics move to the back of the wardrobe to make way for white lace blouses, floral dresses, and flowing maxi skirts. And speaking of flowing maxi skirts, let’s talk about the lilac-hued number I’m wearing in this post!
Happy Saturday friends! I’m excited to be back with another outfit, and today’s is one of my current favorites. It’s oh-so comfortable, but has a classic vintage-inspired feel which you know I love. Lately I’ve been playing around with styling some of my favorite dresses as skirts to help me stretch my wardrobe even further, and of all of the combinations I’ve come up with so far, this is the one I’ve come back to the most.

It’s the second to last day of my spring 10×10 style challenge, and today I’m sharing another casual look. As I mentioned last week, Thursday’s are all about comfort and ease for me, and today was no exception. Even though this outfit is comprised of very basic pieces, I love the classic feel it has. It’s the kind of thing that is definitely laid back, but still has a touch of elegance. I have to admit I did find myself itching to wear a different top then those I chose for my challenge, but I stuck with it, and I’m happy with the result. Plus it’s just one more day until I get to play around with every piece in my closet!
If Audrey Hepburn wore jeans and a t-shirt, I think it would have looked something like this.
Happy Monday friends! I ended up taking a little break from blogging over the weekend, and enjoyed some wonderful family time over the Easter holiday. I hope you were all able to get a little relaxing in as well! I have to admit I’ve been snacking on leftover Easter cookies with my cup of tea as I type up this blog post. 😉 Today I’m back with look 6 in my spring 10×10 challenge, and even braved a bit of rain to get some photos of the look. Today’s look is simple (surprise, surprise!), but could easily have a more dressed up feel with a few tweaks. As it stands, it’s a perfect work option for me, but could easily go out to lunch or the movies.
