An Update!

Simple Travel OutfitAn Adventure Abroad

Hi friends! It’s been far too long since I last posted here, and if you follow me on Instagram, you probably know why. I’ve been in Europe for the past two weeks, and I had an absolutely wonderful time! I hadn’t traveled abroad in six years, and I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed exploring new places. I visited Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France, and England, and I have so many photos that I can’t wait to share here on the blog. Travel has a way of reminding me of who I am and what matters to me, and I’ve returned refreshed and ready to dive in to some creative ideas, and of course, blogging.

Senior Year

apartment window-I love how the sun filters through this window in my apartment-

Hi friends! Long time no see! Thank you for baring with me during my little blogging break over the past week and a half. As you may have guessed by the title of this post, I’ve started my senior year of college! I can’t quite believe it! Some of you have been reading since my freshman year, and others since I was in high school. It’s so cool to me that my blog has been with me through this whole journey.

My class load is heavy this semester, but I’m looking forward to the diversity of the subject matter I’m studying. I have classes in Chemistry, Algebra, Islam, Theology, Choral Conducting, and of course piano, and while they are mostly challenging senior level courses (hello research papers!) I’m excited to learn.

It’s so odd to me that this is my last fall semester. Everything is full of little tiny lasts: the last first day of school, the last time I move in, and so many more to come. This year I have an apartment, which is so much fun. I love getting to cook instead of going to the cafeteria, and it’s so nice to have a quiet home to go to at the end of the day.

Now that I’m settled in, I’m excited to get back to blogging regularly in between studying and practicing.

Did you start school/college again? If so, what are you excited to study this year? I’d love to hear all about your majors and favorite subjects!
