Happy Monday friends! I’m starting to plan for my fall capsule wardrobe, even though the weather has gone back up to summer-esque proportions this week. I recently pulled all of my autumn clothing out of storage, and began to evaluate what I wanted to keep, get rid of, and purchase for the new season. Unfortunately a few of my pieces were attacked by some moths with expensive taste, so I’m anticipating having to replace a few more pieces than usual. While I’ll be thrifting and sewing several items, I also want to purchase from a few ethical brands this fall, both so that I can try them out, and so I can share my experiences with you. Here are some of the pieces I’m eyeing for autumn!
This week I’ve been pulling out my spring and summer clothes. It’s always so fun to see pieces from the past with the fresh eyes of a new year, and it definitely helps to inspire fun new outfit combinations. As I’ve been assessing what I have currently, I’ve also been taking note of what I would like to add to my closet for the spring season. These items range from updates of old favorites to more trend led items, and I have to confess; as much as I love a streamlined wardrobe, shopping for a new season is pretty darn fun.
Make some room in your closet; here are the pieces I have my eye on.
My intention in writing about fashion ethics is never to make you feel guilty somehow about where you shop or what you buy, but rather to provide you with amazing alternative resources to traditional brands in case you are interested in them! I’m new to this journey, and I want to share this part of my life here on my blog. In the spirit of this intention, today I’m sharing a list of things that look beautiful and amazing to me, and that also just so happen to be ethically produced or accessible. It’s a win-win, am I right?
