The Weekender // No. 10

Anthropologie CatalogueHi friends! I hope your week was wonderful, and that you’ve had a relaxing weekend so far. I had such a wonderful week at school– I’m continually reminded of what a gift it is to get to teach. I love seeing my students faces light up when they understand a musical concept or do something well, and hearing them say they love piano makes me so happy. Speaking of music, I’m excited to be acting on one of my 23 goals by starting rehearsal for my church’s orchestra tomorrow. I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to play violin in a group setting. I love ensemble music! Plus we’ll be working on Christmas music, which is pretty much my favorite thing in the world. 😀

One highlight of this past week was that I had my best week of driving ever! I haven’t updated you guys since I wrote my post about my driving anxiety, but as of this week I’m feeling so much more confident and comfortable. I so appreciate those of you who had similar experiences and reached out to me.

I went through my fall clothes a few days ago, and as much as I want to start wearing them all right now, it’s still too hot! I’m planning several posts on my autumn wardrobe next week, so stay tuned for those! Lots of Starbucks and fall candles are helping me not get too impatient waiting for the cool weather. 🙂

Some links for your weekend:

-Everlane just released a pleated midi skirt, and I love it! Midi skirts are definitely closet staples for me, so it’s great to see one available that’s made fairly.

-I’ve been listening to the Frank Sinatra version of How About You on repeat! I first heard this song in an I Love Lucy episode, and it’s just so charming.

-I’m currently loving single dotted manicures. At the moment I’m wearing a rose toned polish with metallic champagne dots. See this simple look here!

-Speaking of manicures, I’m obsessed with Hannah Tyler’s Instagram both because her nails always inspire me, and because everything she posts/wears is gorgeous.

-Chriselle Lim’s street style lookbook is so great! She created looks inspired by street style in Paris, LA, and Seoul, and as always, she looks amazing!
