The Weekender // No. 13

The Curated ClosetIt’s Saturday morning, and I’m tucked up with a blanket, a cup of tea, and of course my laptop. This past week was wonderful and busy as usual, full of work and family. I’m so happy that there’s a chill in the air this weekend. My sister and brother are in town, and my sister and I are planning to do some shopping for home decor. I’m on the lookout for any mercury glass nick-knacks I can find!

Next week promises to be busy as one of my dear friends gets married! I need to practice my makeup look for the day. The bridesmaids are wearing plum purple, so I’m thinking I may try to match part of my look to my dress. Kate is an art teacher and has created so much of the decor herself- I can’t wait to see how everything comes together, and I’m so excited for her.

This evening I’m planning on making the most out of this chilly weather by embracing all things cozy. I’ll probably curled up on the sofa with hot chocolate and a good book or movie.

Some links for your weekend:

-I picked up The Curated Closet by Anuschka Rees at my local Anthropologie this week, and it’s a beautiful book! If you’re interested in editing your wardrobe, this is the book for you!

-Are any of you attending Halloween parties? I’m not 100% sure that I am, but if I do I’ll be sporting a costume similar to this one!

-I’m smitten with Jessica’s beautiful blog, Jeans and a Teacup. Not only is she a fellow fashion blogger, but  she’s also a fellow music teacher! I love her mixture of classic and trendy style.

-This video of hair mask recipes makes me want to try a few of them out!

-I’m really looking forward to seeing Loving in a couple of weeks!

Emma Stone’s 73 Questions with Vogue were hilarious! This was possibly my favorite installment in the series, and her apartment is adorable!

Posts from this week to catch up on:

Hepburn-esque, Growing out my Hair, Work Wear

Thanks for reading this week friends! What are you up to this weekend? I’d love to hear!

  1. Looks like we both were loving Emma Stone this week! I have to agree though: potentially my favorite installment of 73 Questions so far. 🙂
I’ve been loving Jeans and a Teacup as well! Her style is so cool.

My main weekend goal was to find a blender – not too exciting, but this is adult life. 😉 Fortunately Macy’s had a sale and that box is checked! Now I can get into the cosy weather and enjoy some Gilmore Girls. 🙂
