I love books, particularly when they have cute and quirky designs, so today I thought I would share some of my favorite whimsical book lines with you!

Vintage Classics: I found this collection at Anthropologie, and think it is so pretty! The collection is limited to Jane Austen’s novels, and each volume has a unique pattern and color scheme. I chose Sense and Sensibility to start my collection, and love the turquoise and gold polka dotted cover. I have my eye on Emma next!

Puffin in Bloom (Rifle Paper Co.): Of course I couldn’t talk about my favorite book designs without mentioning Anna Bond’s designs for the Puffin in Bloom line. I have collected three out of the four editions in this collection and love each one of them. Rifle Paper Co. has announced they will be releasing an edition of Alice in Wonderland this fall!

Don’t forget you can enter to win Little Women in this post!

Penguin Hardcover Classics: The most expansive collection of cute books that I know of is the Penguin Hardcover Classics line. The collection contains dozens of books, and I plan to collect most of my favorite stories in this line. Each volume is cloth bound with a fun illustration stamped across the cover. I love the various colors these come in, and look forward to collecting many of them!

I also have my eye on these F. Scott Fitzgerald novels. Metallic foil and geometric designs? Yes please!

What are some of your favorite books? Do you have any favorite editions? I’d love to hear!

  1. I love the Puffin in Bloom collection, I have three and am going to pick up Heidi when I see it next in the shop. They’re just so beautiful! I adore pretty books and I feel like there are just so many beautiful collections out in bookstores at the moment, its great! I love the resurgence of buying books and that its becoming more popular. I never was one for e-books!

  2. Oh goodness, I am so excited for the new Alice in Wonderland! All of these editions are favorites of mine because I just love the quirky colors and patterns! Another favorite is Everyman’s Library. Also, I’ve been looking for a copy of The Count of Monte Cristo, but have never come across one that is wonderful…any ideas?

  3. They are all so beautiful! I would love to get my hands on one of those.
