Work Wear | Collab with Carmel Elizabeth

ethical fashion blog

Happy Friday friends! Today I’m excited to be collaborating with Carmel Elizabeth.

She’s a fashion and beauty blogger based out of Tennessee (Yay for state neighbors!,) and she creates wonderful content. I just love her classic New England vibe. We thought it would be fun to show you two contrasting go-to autumn looks- mine is a work look, and hers is more laid back. Be sure to pop on over to her blog and give her some love as soon as you’re done here!

I’ve got to say, I’m loving my fall capsule wardrobe! I feel like the pieces I’ve chosen this season are more cohesive than in past capsules, and I love the outfits I’ve been able to create. For this look, I was inspired a bit by the 1960s and Alexa Chung. I love the look of an a-line skirt with tights and flats. It’s something I never would have thought was flattering, but somehow it works. This little grey wool skirt came from ThredUp, and I adore the detailing it features. It’s almost reminiscent of 1950s Dior. Because the skirt is so unique, I opted to keep the other pieces pretty simple. My elbow sleeve tee is from Everlane, and no, I don’t plan to shut up about their tees any time soon! They’re just. so. good! I added black tights, my suede loafers, and a matching bag, but found myself wanting a pop of color. For this, my mint statement necklace worked perfectly! It brings some balance to the simple top half of the outfit, and keeps the whole look from being too drab.

A swipe of lipstick, a sleek ponytail, an Americano with no cream, and I’m ready to go!
